Charley Toorop

Charley (1891-1955) was the daughter of the artist.
Although Toorop wanted her to become a violin player, she was true to her natural inclination and became a painter in her own right.
As a young girl Charley was often Toorop's model.
There are several pastel portraits of her in profile and with a white ribbon in her hair.
